Consultation Groups

Consultation Groups allow practicing therapists interested in developing their skills in the Crucible® Approach a place to present cases for consultation by experienced professionals and peers.

Program Details

  • Consultation groups are co-facilitated by therapists who trained closely with Dr. Schnarch and have been identified as those with the best understanding of the approach

  • Consultation groups are a 6-12 month commitment and meet every 2-4 weeks

  • Groups typically consist of 5-8 members

  • Each month one group member will present case material to the group for consultation

  • English and German speaking groups are available

  • These groups are designed for people with a serious interest in learning the approach, requiring a high level of commitment

Areas of Focus

  • Enhancing clinical accuracy in assessing relationship dynamics through a Crucible® lens

  • Attending to in-session dynamics between clients and therapist

  • Addressing personal development of therapist including: differentiation issues, blind spots, and traumatic mind mapping

  • Highlighting key Crucible® concepts and how to use them to bring couples to critical mass

  • Increasing the ability to generate multiple hypotheses

  • “In the chair” time role playing as the therapist putting the Crucible® Approach techniques into practice to improve traction in the case

  • Creating brain to brain contact and moments of meeting

Requirements

  • Members should have a serious dedication to learning Crucible® and Crucible® Neurobiological Therapy

  • Solid internet connection and accessibility

  • Ability to present your own case material, including access to raw data in the form of audio or video material from actual sessions

  • Active case load in either a private practice or other clinical setting that allows client materials to be submitted with permission

  • Preferably attended a Crucible® Therapy Workshop or received consultation in the Crucible® Approach

  • High level of ethical practice and focus on maintaining client confidentiality with the case materials being presented
